If you're a widow who is ready for a new adventure in the beautiful state of Maine, this retreat is for you!
All inclusive retreat featuring hiking in Acadia National Park, lobster (a LOT of lobstah!), sunset cruises on Abrams Pond, and touring around Bar Harbor, (one of the premier vacation destinations and cruise stops in the US).
Come glamping at magical Abrams Pond, Maine, right outside of Bar Harbor - the gateway to Acadia National Park, one of the most famous National Parks in the US. Drive up the mile-long gravel camp road, turn the corner and see the first view of Abrams Pond. Feel the peace and calmness enter your heart as you arrive at our little slice of paradise.
Arrive for your first lobster experience, a true Maine Lobster Bake (butter optional!). We plan on having many lobsters during our 5 days together. Learn to eat a lobster like a true Mainer and how to make an official Maine lobster roll.
Wake up to loons by morning and enjoy campfires by night. Find a sense of community by telling stories and reflecting on our paths forward. Immerse yourself in the sounds of nature.
You've finally arrived at Camp Damfino and it just feels so good to be here surrounded by nature, wild life, trees, piece and quiet.

The Venues...
Acadia National Park is one of the highest rated National Parks in the US. With over 47,000-acres along the beautiful Atlantic coast it is marked with rocky beaches with crashing ocean waves and glacier-scoured granite peaks such as Cadillac Mountain, the highest point on the East Coast. Among the wildlife you may spot moose, bear, whales and seabirds. The nearby town of Bar Harbor (pronounced Bah Hahbah) is full of restaurants and shops.

Schoodic Peninsula
We have a private tour guide for Schoodic Peninsula - the part of Acadia National Park on the “mainland.” Schoodic is incredibly scenic with many overlooks over hidden granite whirlpools and granite headlands.
Stewmans Lobster Pound
Stewman's Lobster Pounds are the only authentic oceanfront lobster pounds in Bar Harbor, Maine. Enjoy a Downeast lobster bake in a relaxed atmosphere at our two ocean-side lobster pounds.
THE CUISINE...
Two things Maine is known for, of course; lobster, chowders, and also Wild Maine Blueberries.
Maine Lobster from the cold Atlantic water is the most tender, not too salty… or chewy. If you love lobster like most Mainers do, you will LOVE this retreat. You’ll arrive to the retreat ready for your first lobster bake with plenty of leftover meat to make lobster rolls the next day or maybe lobster Alfredo!
Morning breakfasts will be healthy, gluten free, dairy free, and sugar free! You’ll learn new tips on cooking and prepping food for the week.

The Activities
Day 1: Arrive to an afternoon Lobsterbake at Camp Damfino. Plan to have as many lobsters as you'd like, Jeff's record is 14! But he was much younger then. Jeff is the world's best lobster cooker-man, and a great teacher at extracting the last shred of lobster meat from every part. Weather permitting, we will go out on a sunset cruise.
Day 2: Hiking and guided tour in Beautiful Acadia National Park on the scenic Schoodic Peninsula. See the crashing ocean waves on the cliffs, walk on rocks from volcanic flows, breathe the fresh ocean air. It is a truly beautiful place in the world.
Day 3: Bar Harbor boat cruise, shopping and touring. Bar Harbor is a very special place, full of quaint shops, the best chocolate, bars, and lobster available at every restaurant. We'll have lunch here, hop onto a Bar Harbor boat cruise with time for shopping and touring. Dinner at Stewmans Lobster Pot
Day 4: Today we'll drive up the famous Cadillac Mountain and see views that will take your breath away. Tonight we'll plan a campfire, and cook a wonderful healthy dinner at camp.
Day 5: Departures - Bangor Airport (Did you know the famous author Stephen King was from Bangor?) . Our time has come to an end (unless you plan to stay longer on your own and tour around Bar Harbor or other parts of Maine). You'll leave Camp Damfino with new memories, new friends, a belly full of lobster, and a smile in your heart.
- If you want to extend your stay in Maine, I can help you discover other areas of this beautiful state.

Meet Your Hosts!
Jeff and Marie
Your hosts are Jeff and Marie. After about a year and a half after losing Dave, Marie decided to explore the potential of finding a new partner to have fun with, laugh with, and have adventures with.
Never in a million years would she have dreamed the 2nd great love of her life would be found on the dance floor in Sarasota. Once she healed her mind, body and spirit, her confidence and smile returned and her heart opened. In walked Jeff. On their one year anniversary, he proposed on a Zoom call with friends and family, totally shocking Marie who didn't expect to ever get married again! She said Yes, and they were married the next year in Bar Harbor with a fun, camo-themed wedding.
The retreat will be held at our summer home on Abrams Pond, which has been in Jeff's family for three generations.
Marie went on to find her new purpose in Life Part 2, in love and eager to share the word that it IS possible to Live well through clean eating and healthy habits, Laugh more every single day, and perhaps even find Love again.
She also became a best selling author, speaker, and wellness coach focused on widows and widowers
